More info

All Beany models are full-wood skis, manufactured using our own RESPONSIVE TECHNOLOGY, which is based on demanding and precise grinding of the wooden core and a special layering of laminates. Thanks to this technology, Beany skis are very light and soft in flex, while maintaining high torsional rigidity.

The TRICKSY ROCKER ski profile adds flexibility, makes handling easier, and increases comfort. With these technologies, Beany skis are perfect both for mastering the basics of skiing and for fast, playful rides by experienced young skiers.

Choosing skis for a child

1. According to the child’s height
Beginners – skis should be about 15–20 cm shorter than the child’s height (usually between the chin and shoulders). Shorter skis are easier to control and more forgiving.
More advanced children – can use skis 10–15 cm shorter than their height (between chin and nose). Longer skis provide better stability at higher speeds but are harder to turn.

2. According to weight
For very light children, it is better to choose shorter and softer skis, as longer and stiffer ones would be difficult to bend and control.
Heavier or more athletic children can handle longer skis.
VIST Junior 4.5 binding is suitable for boot size 184–275 mm and weight up to 45 kg.
VIST Junior 7.5 binding is suitable for boot size 244–335 mm and weight up to 75 kg.

3. According to skills and confidence
Complete beginner: always choose shorter skis, so the child doesn’t feel intimidated and can focus on technique.
More confident or racing-oriented child: can use longer skis, as they benefit from the extra stability.

4. According to the type of skiing
Ski school / slopes → shorter skis, easy to handle.
Sport / racing → longer skis, more stable.
